News: 3 injured in fire at RV Park in E Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Three people were injured Friday morning when a fire broke out at an RV Park in the Community First! Village near Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park.

KXAN reports that firefighters responded to a call in the 9000 block of Hog Eye Road at about 11:15 a.m. on February 5. The fire—which was limited to a single mobile home—was already out by the time they arrived.

One person had been inside the residence when the fire began, and two people had entered it in order to save the first person. EMS transported two people to Dell Seton Medical Center, while the third declined hospitalization. All three are expected to survive.

Investigators determined that the fire had been caused by a flammable object that had not been properly disposed of.
