News: AFD reports crash on I-35 involving multiple trucks, other vehicles

AUSTIN, TX – A collision on I-35 involving multiple passenger vehicles and trucks was reported minutes ago by the Austin Fire Department.

The accident happened between the 3500 and 4300 blocks of southbound S I-35 at about 6:40 p.m.

While the exact circumstances of the crash were not released, AFD stated that the collision involved several vehicles and 18-wheeler trucks.

There is not yet word on possible injuries.

Authorities are seeing what they described as “a sudden uptick in traffic accidents” due to icing on the highways.

Drivers are encouraged to stay at home and off the roadways if possible.
