News: Alleged drunk driver arrested after hitting two Leander officers
LEANDER, TX – Two Leander Police officers were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries after getting hit by an alleged drunk driver Tuesday.
The collision occurred at the 17700 block of Ronald Reagan Boulevard around 11 pm, KXAN reported.
The field training officer and one officer in training were parked inside their vehicle on the side of the road when the suspected drunk driver hit them.
The driver was identified as 38-year-old Joel Ramirez. No injuries were reported for him. However, he was charged with a DWI and booked at the Williamson County Jail.
The two officers were released from the hospital and are okay.
