News: Austin car crash leaves two seriously injured, one dead

AUSTIN, TX – A Tuesday night crash on FM 973 and Elroy Road in Austin left two injured and one dead, KXAN reported. 

The collision occurred at 11:55 pm. 

An SUV and car slammed into each other, although the details of what led to the crash remain unclear. As a result, two SUV passengers suffered life-threatening injuries, and one SUV passenger, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The other driver was arrested early Wednesday morning and may have been driving while intoxicated. At this time, the Austin Police Department is investigating the case and charges are pending.
