News: Driver and 5 teens reported injured in distracted-driving crash on Hwy 183
AUSTIN, TX – Six people, including five teenagers, reported possible injuries following an alleged inattentive-driving crash on Highway 183 last week, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The collision happened at 8:23 p.m. Tuesday, near Lake Creek Parkway and the Lake Creek Shopping Center in northwest Austin.
The 20-year-old driver of a black 2005 Chevrolet reportedly failed to keep his attention on the road, causing the vehicle to crash and overturn.
The driver and his five passengers were reported as having sustained possible injuries in the crash.
The passengers include two 19-year-old women, two 17-year-old girls, and a 17-year-old boy.
