News: Driver injured after collision with 18-wheeler in South Lamar

AUSTIN, TX – A man was injured after colliding with an 18-wheeler truck in the South Lamar area last week, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The collision occurred in the 2000 block of Bert Avenue, near Menchaca Road, at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, when the driver of a white 2020 Mack truck changed lanes when it was not safe to do so.

The front-right quarter of his truck then collided with the left side of a purple 2017 Toyota.

The driver of the Toyota sustained possible injuries in the crash.

The truck driver was not hurt.
