News: Man dead 2 weeks after being hit by car on Teri Rd

AUSTIN, TX – The Austin Police Department has released the identity of a victim who died last week after being struck by a driver on Teri Road on April 7.

66-year-old Richard May was taken to the hospital after the crash, and on April 22, he succumbed to his injuries.

The accident happened on Wednesday, April 7, at about 10:45 p.m., as May was walking in the 4600 block of Teri Road. He was struck by the driver of a gold 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash, which is Austin’s 32nd fatal traffic incident of the year.
