News: Motorcyclist dies after crash on I-35 in Austin
AUSTIN, TX – A crash in east Austin took the life of a motorcyclist on Tuesday, July 12.
The collision happened around 2:10 am at Interstate 35 Frontage Road and Rundberg Lane, CBS Austin reported. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the motorcyclist ran a red light and slammed into a car while attempting to flee DPS troopers.
Law enforcement is investigating details from the crash.
Authorities identified the motorcyclist as 34-year-old Bobby Knight Jr. He was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center, where he died a short time later.
The occupants of the car were also hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
