News: One person killed in pin-in truck accident on SH-71
AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed in a pin-in truck accident on State Highway 71 this morning, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident occurred in the 20400 block of west SH-71 at 11:07 a.m., when a car and a semi-truck collided.
A Star Flight medical helicopter was called to the scene for an unconscious patient trapped inside the wreckage. The victim, however, died at the scene.
Their identity and the cause of the crash were not immediately released.
ATCEMS advised drivers to avoid the area for the safety of first responders. Travelers were told to expect extended traffic delays near the scene.
