News: Police ID bicyclist killed near 290 and 35

AUSTIN, TX – Police have identified the bicyclist killed in a collision in north central Austin earlier this month, the Austin American-Statesman reports.

Mark Davis, 56, was struck by an SUV shortly after noon on February 5, as he was riding his bicycle against traffic on a one-way street near East Koenig Lane and Clayton Lane. Davis was rushed to an area hospital, where he died.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and has cooperated with police investigations. Intoxication is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
