News: Truck driver hurt in two-vehicle crash on I-35

AUSTIN, TX – A truck driver was injured during a crash that happened on I-35 during last week’s wintry weather, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred on I-35 near Ben White Boulevard at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, after the 39-year-old driver of a red 2001 Chevrolet failed to maintain a single lane. The Chevrolet then collided with an orange 2015 Freightliner semi-truck.

The truck driver, a 47-year-old man, suffered possible injuries during the crash.

The at-fault driver was not reported as injured.

The weather was reportedly sleeting and hailing when the crash occurred.
