News: Two cats killed in house fire in central Austin
AUSTIN, TX – Two cats were killed in a house fire in central Austin that caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage late Tuesday night, according to information from KXAN.
The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. at a residence on E 52nd Street near Avenue G, near Lamar Boulevard.
Despite the attempts of emergency crews to resuscitate them, two cats from inside the home were later pronounced dead.
The fire caused $200,000 worth of damage. No other injuries were immediately reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
