News Update: 91-year-old is 3rd victim of fatal 12th St house fire

AUSTIN, TX – A 91-year-old woman has succumbed to the injuries she sustained during a structure fire Wednesday that claimed the lives of two other people.

This is an update to a previously reported story.

According to KVUE, the victim, a 91-year-old woman, succumbed to her injuries after being taken to the hospital.

The fire happened at a home located at 2932 E 12th Street at 10:50 a.m.

Two other people, a 54-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man, died at the scene of the blaze.

Three people were treated for minor wounds at the scene.

No smoke alarm was present in the building.

AFD has stated that it appears that the power was out when the fire occurred, and they do not believe that there is any reason to suspect foul play. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
