News update: Motorcyclist injured in crash on SH-195 in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, TX – A motorcyclist was injured in a collision on State Highway 195 in Georgetown on Thursday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

This is an update to a previous news story.

The crash happened on SH-195, just west of I-35, at 7:36 a.m., when the 23-year-old driver of a black 2017 Nissan changed lanes when it was unsafe to do so.

The back of her vehicle was then struck by a black 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle being driven by a 24-year-old man.

The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The at-fault driver and her 33-year-old passenger were not injured in the accident.

Motorcyclists are unfortunately at more of a risk of injury during a collision due to the fact that they have less protection against the force of an oncoming vehicle.
