News: Wrong-way crash in Taylor injuries 2, kills 1

TAYLOR, TX – Two were hospitalized, and one life was claimed after a head-on crash on the 4300 block of North Main St. Saturday. 

Taylor Police responded to the scene after 11 p.m., according to CBS Austin. A driver of a 2016 Chevrolet pickup truck went into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a driver of a 2003 GMC Yukon. 

Officials said they found open containers of alcohol in the two vehicles; however, at this time, they are unable to confirm if alcohol was a contributing factor in the collision. 

Two occupants from the Yukon were transported to a hospital for serious injuries. 

The driver of the Chevrolet was identified as Daniel Garcia, 42, of Pflugerville. Garcia succumbed to injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
