$350,000 Settlement in South by Southwest Crash Case
The Loewy Law Firm has secured a $350,000 settlement for a young Austin woman who was seriously injured in the South by Southwest tragedy this past year.
The South By Southwest festival is a quintessentially Austin event that attracts hundreds of thousands each year to be a part of the latest in tech, music, and film. This year’s festival was slated to be the biggest yet; the tragic accident that occurred was an even bigger shock to our community. A drunk driver—on the run from police—plowed headlong onto a crowded sidewalk. The catastrophe left four dead and twenty-one injured.
Our client was hit from behind and suffered catastrophic injuries that left her with significant medical and recovery expenses.
