Shia LeBeouf Arrested in Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Popular screen actor Shia LaBeouf has found himself on the wrong side of the law again, this time in Austin. The actor, perhaps most well-known for his role in Transformers, was arrested in our fair city after going on a drunken rant.

According to reports, LaBeouf was located on a street in Austin. The actor was allegedly drunk. The arresting officer noted in his report that LaBeouf has a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” about his person at the time of the encounter. The actor also had slurred speech. In the report, the officer states:

“He became increasingly confrontational, aggravated, profane and verbally aggressive with [the officer] throughout the stop, calling him a ‘silly man’ three times.”

While ‘silly man’ is not necessarily profane or confrontational, it is assumed the officer had more cause to arrest LaBeouf. In fact, he did. In the report, the officer goes on to say that LaBeouf became even more agitated when he noticed a bystander filming the confrontation. LaBeouf puffed out his chest and began to act irrational, redirecting his anger once again toward the police officer.

The actor claimed to be a member of the National Guard and that the officer should “do whatever the [expletive] you gotta do!”

LaBeouf was ultimately charged with public intoxication and, days after his arrest, tweeted, “I talk, just not to you.” It is unclear who LaBeouf is not talking to, as he apparently had plenty to say during his confrontation with the police.
