In March, Phil and Adam Loewy announced a $100,000 gift to the Jewish Federation of Austin’s Annual Campaign. This is the largest single donor gift in the campaign’s history. October 29 was one of the darkest days in the history of Austin, Texas. A Federal Judge granted immunity to former Austin Police Officer Charles Kleinert, who killed Larry Jackson Jr. Kleinert tracked Larry down, beat him and then put his gun on the back of Larry’s neck and pulled the trigger. AUSTIN, TX – Last Tuesday, Austin neighborhoods participated in National Night Out. The night out is an annual event held throughout the city, aimed at bringing citizens, law enforcement, and other first responders together. During the event, people were asked to lock up their homes and spend the evening socializing with one another.
