Truck Versus Motorcycle Crash on FM 812

BASTROP COUNTY, TX – On October 23, 2015, a motorcycle and a car collided on FM 812 near Highway 21. The driver of the car, a Chevy Avalanche, has been charged with two counts of intoxicated manslaughter. According to officials, the crash occurred around 2:00 a.m. at the 2100 block of FM 812. A motorcycle was heading north on the highway when a Chevy Avalanche, heading south, crossed into the northbound lane, hitting the motorcycle head on. An Austin man was arrested last week for driving under the influence. Austin Judge Will Not Face DWI Charges

Charges against Judge Gisela Triana of Austin have been reduced to speeding. Triana will not be forced to answer to the original charge of driving while intoxicated, stemming from her March 20 arrest. According to reports of the incident, Triana was driving a Chevrolet Suburban 47 mph in a 30-mph zone. Officers initiated a traffic stop and subsequently arrested her for DWI. Triana admitted to having had four drinks, and an open bottle of alcohol was located in her vehicle. Family Sues Bar for Negligence

AUSTIN, TX – A deadly car crash in April took the lives of two young children. The family of the siblings has filed suit against the bar, Cover 2, that allegedly sold the driver of the other vehicle alcohol. According to the lawsuit, the Cover 2 patron continued to consume alcohol until he was drunk. Bar employees then allowed John Alvarado, the alleged intoxicated driver in the collision, to leave the bar.
